Victorians loved hiding meanings in their jewelry and this brooch is not exception. This 15k yellow gold sweetheart brooch features two hearts adorned with a diamond and sapphire presumably for the months of April and September. The ivy leaf, a common Victorian motif represents wedded love and fidelity and the figure eight symbol representing forever and eternity. A lovely sentimental piece of a love story from over a century ago.

Singed 'Birks' and dates from the 1970's. Enamel work is in impeccable condition.
